I went to check on Heart’s Master this morning (because I’m a dork like that) and I found this:

It came out Thursday, and it’s broken the top 100 on Amazon for Gay Erotica. (It premiered at 154, I think.)

Wow!

(that totally scans to Do you want to build a snowman?, by the way. Which is, of course, why I did it.)

I actually have TWO books coming out this December. Haven’s Fall will be coming out December 6th from Forbidden Fiction.

Heart’s Master — the long awaited novel about my blind mage Steven and his lover Nick — will be out either the week before or the week after (so, either December 1st or the 15th).

(If you don’t remember Steven, check out The Hand You’re Dealt in Like a Sacred Desire, or Snowbound in Jingle Balls, or here for free. And hey, if you like it, go grab a copy of Jingle Balls. There’s a Laura Antoniou holiday story in there, too.)

Now, Circlet is doing something fun. The cover art for Heart’s Master is a big secret (seriously — I helped choose the images, but that’s it. I don’t even know what the final cover looks like!!!) That cover is going to be announced on November 29th.

And you can be part of the announcement.

If you want to help spread the fun, click here and fill out the form! (If you want to review Heart’s Master, you can fill out the same form.)

Then, on the 29th, everyone gets to blitz the cover image all at once! Neat, huh?

Go sign up!

Remember that secret?

Here ’tis! Brand new cover art for Haven’s Fall (Rebel Mage 2). Now with more Matthias and Solomon!

havensfall_cvrprt

We have a blurb, too:

Haven had been their goal since escaping the destruction of the School. Haven had promised safety, rest, an end to running and death. But things had gone badly wrong in the mountains. Tam and Linnea had to leave Matthias and Solomon behind to face the Elders, hoping to return for them once they’d found Haven. The reality does not live up to the promise. Isolated and dying, Haven fears outsiders almost more than it needs new blood. With only the griffon Dancer and the human healer Ilane for allies, Tam and Linnea fear that Haven’s rulers will prevent them from going back for their friends—then fire rains down from the sky, and things became so much worse for everyone.

Book goes live in ebook and print on December 6th, but you can pre-order it now!

More information as I get it, including if there will be a bookseller who will carry my books there. I will not have a table.

Oops. There was no update last night. However, nothing happened yesterday. There was no baking, and there was no writing. There was, however, a small get together where we ate rather a lot of the cookies that I’d already baked.

All in all, a fun day.

And today, I woke up to the email that told me that Counsel of the Wicked has been named one of the Best of 2015 by Erotica for the Big Brain.

Honestly, there aren’t many ways to end out a year that are better than that!

Now, I have a mug of tea, a couple of cookies, and I’m not moving from this spot until Burden of Truth is done! (Well, okay. I might move. I have to make dinner. But draft today, darn it!)

I did something tonight I don’t usually do. I went out to dinner. (I’m gluten intolerant, which makes eating out a game of Russian Roulette.) But my sister and brother-in-law and the cutest nephew on the Eastern Seaboard are in town, and we went out to dinner with them.

Left Universal Citywalk in a monsoon, which passed just as we bought and donned ponchos. We drove out onto I-4 underneath a gorgeous double rainbow. It took forever to get home because we caught the storm on its way north (it’s now sitting on top of my house).

Once we were finally home, I turned on the computer and checked my email. Apparently, we had the celebratory dinner and rainbows before I knew we were celebrating, because in my email was a contract for Heart’s Master!

Yippee!!!!

First, I found this fantastic review of both House of Sable Locks and Tales from the Arena: Opening Gambit. I particularly like the reference to the House as “a… Victorian BDSM Disneyland.”

Then… I found out that House of Sable Locks is a finalist for Best Bisexual Erotica in the Bisexual Book Awards!

(Is it petty for my second reaction to be “Take that, RITAs!”  Second reaction because my first was “Holy crap, I finalled!”)

PRINCES OF AIR by Elizabeth Schechter–November 1st

The Raven-Goddess Morrigan has nine sons, ravens, each granted two gifts: the ability to shift to human form, and the recognition of their soulmates. But, even for demi-gods, the path to true love is far from smooth. The brothers have drawn the attention of a family of powerful mages who will stop at nothing to gain power. Each brother will be forced to make sacrifices to keep their mates alive and protect their land from harm.
